Summer Internship Program

The program is a 12-week paid internship immersive experience that provides functional learning working on robust and challenging project work, Executive and Senior leadership engagement, and exposure to Danaher Business System fundamentals. The program culminates with a report-out presentation to leaders from the organization. After successful completion of the program, interns will have the opportunity to return as a full-time associate upon graduation.

This position is part of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department located in Kendall, FL and Hialeah, FL (Miami area) and will be on-site At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the EHS team and report to the Sr. Manager, EHS responsible for environmental health and safety compliance at the Kendall and Hialeah facilities. The EHS Coordinator for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for

• Assist with implementation and sustainment of site-specific EHS programs such as Hazard Communication, Biohazardous and Hazardous Waste, Lockout/Tagout, Contractor Safety, etc;
• Coordinate the proactive observations program at Daily Management;
• Prepare reports for EHS programs under the supervision of the Sr. EHS Manager;
• Maintain EHS records and other documentation as required by Corporate and regulatory agency standards;
• Conduct EHS Layered Self-Audit inspections and help the site prepare and complete the scheduled Corporate EHS audit

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Management & Sustainability, or related field;
• Basic knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, policies, accident/injury investigation procedures;
• Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously with demonstrated proficiency in time and project management;
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
