They utilize assessments and advanced technology to measure outcomes and ensure maximum results. As a Kyo BCBA, you will receive 1:1 mentorship and the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded clinicians nationwide, in order to foster your personal and professional development.

We are seeking a BCBA to join our San Francisco team. Our clinicians experience personalized mentorship, competitive benefits, flexible work hours and the opportunity to support clients on average 50% via telehealth.

Pay Range: $81,000- $91,000 DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct Kyo client programs and manage staff implementation of ABA services.
  • Supervise Kyo’s Behavior Therapists and Program Supervisors.
  • Provide BCBA and RBT Supervision Hours to those staff members furthering their ABA education.
  • Conduct observations and assessments in settings such as schools, homes, or communities, developing individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Inform client of behavior plans and goals for client, monitor, track and report on client progress, communicating frequently with families, teachers and staff about client needs and progress. 
  • Design and deliver training to parents, professionals and staff.
  • Serve as substitute BT providing direct therapy to clients, as regional needs dictate, and as a temporarily assigned BT while caseload is building and credentialing is pending. 
  • Assist with regional or company-wide clinical or operational projects while caseload is building. 
  • Model program implementation for caregivers and staff.
  • Attend and facilitate client and staff meetings, as needed.
  • Make all reasonable attempts to ensure efficacious development of programs for our clients. This may include job related tasks and duties not listed above.
  • May work in a center-based environment 


MENTORING RESPONSIBILITIES

Kyo recognizes the critical role that effective mentorship plays in promoting staff retention and development. Within our mentorship model, BCBAs/CDs will: 

  • Serve as Behavior Therapist’s (BT) “Pod BCBA” by mentoring the Mentor to the BT Pod.  

Includes 60 minutes/month mentor meetings with BT Pod Mentor (2x30min. meetings). 

  • Deliver Quarterly Performance Review for BT Pod’s Mentor. 
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly BT Pod meetings. 
  • Act as the Responsible Supervisor for any BTs in their Pod that are enrolled in BACB coursework, maintaining responsible supervision duties. 
  • Be available for the BT Pod mentor by responding to and coaching them through their mentoring duties. 

It should be noted that those BCBAs that do not participate in a pod style mentorship program in their region (such as the Telehealth region), are not expected to take on these duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). 
  • MA degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and operational skills.
  • Spanish speaking preferred, but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing and able to hold and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic/mobile device functions for data collection.
  • Must be able to receive and act on detailed information through oral communication.
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
