EVALUATIONS:
Qualifications
(1) A master's degree (preferred) in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or Behavioral Science or a related field of study AND 2 years of Professional experience working with children and/or youth. Education or training focused on Behavior Intervention is required.
OR
(2) A 4-year degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or Behavioral Science or related field of study AND 3 years of full-time experience working with children and/or youth. Education or training focused on Behavior Intervention is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain TIER-1 Child Care (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age. Must pass a pre-employment physical and annual physical, thereafter, provide evidence of immunization and be free from communicable disease. Must complete all DoD training requirements within the specified time including orientation, initial, and annual ongoing training requirements, and required certifications, if any. Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. May be required to obtain a government driver¿s license. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge of functional behavior assessment, child development, disability law, early intervention and special education, positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS), trauma-informed practices, behavior support plans, crisis intervention and/or mediation, administrative practices and organizational procedures common to child development and/or special education programs. Skilled in oral and written communication.
