Job Description
General position summary:
The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Health and Welfare plans, 401k and other ancillary benefits programs In addition, the Benefits Analyst will administer leave of absence processes, regulatory reporting, expense reconciliation and reporting, benefit related audits, benefits communications, and compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administration of the Health and Welfare, 401k Plan and other ancillary benefit programs to include Workday set up and processing, regulatory compliance, expense reconciliation
- Develops and implements all benefit communication to employees
- Reconciles the 401(k) plan each payroll and administers as necessary
- Oversees all leave of absence programs and provides consultation to Business Partners
- Plans and implements the annual benefit enrollment period to include Workday set up and testing, project management, communication, and on-boarding of any new benefit offerings
- Supports the HRIS team with benefits testing including Workday updates
- Oversees all benefit invoicing for accuracy and actual to budget
- Responds to employee, vendor, and regulatory inquiries
- Direct accountability for maintaining accurate analysis of eligibility measurement and benefit program enrollment rules.
- Development of benefit policies, procedures and communications to support benefits administration

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or eqivalent work experience
- 3 years of employee benefit experience, preferably in a corporate setting
- Strong Excel skills
- Requires benefits HRIS experience but prefer Workday experience
- No travel required.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as benefit plan documents
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Computer Operations:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and effectively use software applications such as move management, accounting/billing, HRIS, timekeeping and other applications used in the performance of job duties.
Planning/Organization:
- Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as situations and needs change throughout the workday
- Ability to multi-task and organize workflow to manage daily responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize work
