Job Description

DRUCKER + FALK 

The Benefits Specialist maintains and administers company benefits programs, and monitors and compiles records to ensure compliance with all ACA, FMLA, and other requirements. The Benefits Specialist serves as a liaison between vendors and employees and advises employees on eligibility, coverage, and other benefit matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Monitor data for reporting on W2, 6056 & 1095 and other required reporting to Government Agencies as required by law.
  • Assist with compliance-related tasks for benefit plans including ERISA, ACA, IRS, etc.
  • Report Medicare Part D for creditable coverage.
  • Monitor Wellness program and employee credits.
  • Assist new hires and existing employees with ADP benefit enrollment.
  • Monitor benefit-related notifications in ADP.
  • Maintains vendor contact to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Provides vendors appropriate documentation for life, and disability benefits claims, and other value- added plans.
  • Prepares documentation for benefit plan changes and conveys information to employees.
  • Assist employees with benefit requests and questions.
  • Assure compliance with COBRA; receive and record COBRA insurance premium payments.
  • Consult with HR Director on difficult or complex issues.
  • Process monthly billing from insurance providers. Review billing for accuracy, correct coding, and advancements for payments.
  • Verify the calculations of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance plans.
  • Provide assistance to the HR Director with the renewal process.
  • Complete reports for management as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of HR/benefits admin experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • ADP benefits/HRIS experience highly desired

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
