We are looking for a Benefits Administrator. As a Benefits Administrator, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world’s best quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems.
IonQ is a quickly growing company with a rapidly evolving People Team infrastructure to accommodate the needs of our employees, which includes creating, maintaining, and administering our comprehensive benefits plan.
Responsibilities:
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, dental and vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits
- Conduct benefits orientations and onboarding to explain the benefits self-enrollment system
- Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction
- Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims
- Coordinate daily benefits processing
- Respond to benefits-related and general inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
- Research new benefit plans and vendors
- Maintain and create records, reports, etc., in accordance with state and federal regulations
You’d be a good fit with:
- 3-5 years of benefits administration or similar experience
- Proficient with Microsoft and Google products, especially Excel and Sheets; experience with HRIS and benefits databases
- Effective planning and priority setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- BA in Human Resources or similar experience
You’d be a great fit with:
- Proven track record in excellent customer service and working with a team
- Proven track record in project management skills and experience
- Knowledge of pertinent state and federal laws
- Knowledge of benefits contract language
Our HQ is located in College Park, Maryland and we are a 15 minute metro ride from Washington DC. We are actively building out teams in the Washington D.C., Seattle, and Boston metro areas and will want to locate you in one of these geographies. However, IonQ will be expanding into additional geographies both domestically and internationally so don’t let this stop you from applying.
