What you’ll do
As a Benefits Analyst you will support the benefits team with day-to-day operations responsibilities. Specifically, you will:
- Support employees with day-to-day questions related to benefits
- Liaise with benefit vendors on employee escalations
- Act as a resource to HR business partners regarding benefits related matters
- Maintain and monitor current benefits databases and file feeds
- Manage and maintain benefits related communications and intranet pages
- Handle new hire enrollment communications
- Manage disability claims and related payroll implications
- Act as a liaison between Benefits and Payroll teams to ensure accurate deductions
- Make recommendations to streamline work processes
- Participate in vendor management meetings and activities
- Contribute to benefits strategy initiatives
- Project manage meeting material and minutes for the 401k committee
- Partner closely with team members during open enrollment, government filings, reporting, and audits
- Coordinate benefits related events (webinars, fairs, open enrollment sessions, etc.)
- Ensure benefit invoices are processed and tracked in a timely manner
What’s required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of Benefits experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems such as Workday
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and the ability to learn new software quickly
- Familiar with major benefit laws and regulations, including COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and Health Care Reform
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must show initiative, be innovative and a team player
- Ability to prioritize and multitask multiple responsibilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
