About The Role: | Major goals and objectives.

The HR Benefits Generalist will provide exceptional customer service to our internal clients, assist employees in understanding their benefits, maintain employee records in Workday, support wellness initiatives, administer employee leaves and processing, keep employee records up to date and champion the benefit team Helpdesk.

About The Role’s Contributions:

40% - Customer Service: answer employee questions (current and prior) regarding benefits via internal Helpdesk, emails and phone calls. Conduct bi-weekly new hire orientation. Ensure all benefit plan documents and materials are accurate and up-to-date. Provide support to employees during open enrollment.

30% - Benefits Administration: maintain employee records in Workday; ensure data accuracy, and timely changes. Partner with parent company benefit team members to escalate and resolve employee matters. Manage the day-to-day relationships with outside vendors to ensure a high level of compliance and service is provided.

20% - Leave Administration: partnering with employees, Payroll and 3rd party administrator to ensure leave details and pay coordination is accurate and timely. Proactively partner with Payroll and HR Business Partners where necessary to achieve accurate and timely administration of leave policies and pay.

10% - Other projects and duties as may be assigned.

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or related work experience.

Experience: 2+ years in an HR generalist or benefits focused role.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and past experience with health, vision, dental, life, HSA/FSA and, 401K benefits

  • Familiarity with leave of absence administration, multiple states helpful.

  • Previous experience with Workday

  • Experience with annual open enrollment process and requirements

  • High attention to detail and follow through.

  • Strong communication and administrative skills.

  • Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion.

  • Flexibility to different tasks and eagerness to learn.
