Job Summary
The Benefits Manager has a background in benefits plan strategy, design, implementation, and administration. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day wellbeing initiatives, benefits administration, managing vendor relationships, collaborating across internal team (e.g., finance, payroll), and partnering with leadership on DFIN's My Total Wellbeing strategy - My time, money, health, and career. The deal candidate also has experience with implementation and management of benefits administration technology.
Responsibilities
• Leads day-to-day benefits-related activities and acts as a liaison between the Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, Communication, Payroll, Finance, and Legal.• Recommends benefits programs by analyzing employee requirements, trends, and developments in the benefits landscape that align with organization recruiting and retention strategy.• Identifies benefit enhancements and alternatives by studying programs and obtaining advice from advisors/brokers., dashboards, and reports related to costs and claims experience. • Supports leadership decision-making process by analyzing benefit options, predicting future costs, and developing data analytics.• Prepares and manages benefits budget, billing, and monthly financial reporting.• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing laws and regulations and updates to legal requirements.• May coach and mentor other staff and provides education to HR team and employees. • Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.• Partners with global HR Team to evaluate both global and local/regional benefits enhancements.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 6-10 years of progressive experience in HR and benefits • SHRM or other related certification a plus • Extensive knowledge of benefits packages and trends, policies and U.S., state, and local benefit laws required• Experience managing benefit broker and vendor relationships• Working knowledge and design/implementation experience with wellbeing programs a plus• Working knowledge of pensions and global benefits a plus• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and problem-solving skills required• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and possess strong written and oral communication skills• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines, prioritize workload, and make necessary adjustments to meet business needs• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive and proactive attitude
Preferred Skills
• Bachelor's Degree in human resources or quantitative and/or analytical field.• Proficient in HR systems and experience with technology implementation and benefits administration technology platforms (e.g., Alight, Businessolver, PlanSource, SAP/SuccessFactors, PayScale, PayFactors).
