Your Role and Responsibilities
An employee in this job role has responsibility to manage Benefits Operation for a country or sub-region.
Benefits Delivery professionals have responsibility over day to day operations such as executing timely/accurate benefits disbursement maintain correct control posture through IBM controls processes have Vendors/Broker operational oversight propose design changes program management stakeholder management execute health promotion program negotiate contracts in RFP & renewal times by determining the rules and features of the IBM plans and benchmarking the plans against those of IBM’s competitors.
In addition this job role requires strong Excel Skills to build automation (VBA or Macro) to simplify the existing manual reconciliations and gain efficiency. Also identify opportunities by closely working with the other center leads/managers to simplify and automate.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Formulas and Functions: Expertise in a wide range of functions beyond basic ones like SUM AVERAGE and VLOOKUP. This includes complex functions like INDEX/MATCH OFFSET INDIRECT and advanced conditional formatting.
- Automation Techniques: Experience in using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to automate tasks create macros and build user interfaces within Excel. Familiarity with other automation tools that integrate with Excel might be a plus (e.g. Power Automate).
- Data Cleansing: Skills in cleaning sorting filtering and analyzing large datasets using PivotTables Get & Transform and data validation tools.
- Error Handling: Ability to troubleshoot errors in formulas and macros implement robust error handling mechanisms to ensure automation stability.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
- Identifying Automation Opportunities: The ability to assess workflows and identify areas where automation can improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Logical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to design and implement effective automation solutions that address specific needs.
- Analytical Thinking: Skills to analyze data trends and patterns to inform automation design and identify potential improvements.
- Communication and Collaboration Skills:
- Clear Communication: Ability to clearly document automation processes formulas and macros for easy understanding by both technical and non-technical users.
- Collaboration: Experience working with stakeholders across departments to understand their needs and develop automation solutions that meet their requirements.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to explain complex automation concepts to a broader audience in a clear and concise manner (if required).
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Flawless execution of benefits programs such as Medical Life Disability Leaves Transportation.
- Analyze existing benefits programs and compare them to those of competing employers.
- Recommend new/modify benefits programs to ensure IBM’s Ben. programs remain competitive.
- Analyze processes and recommend improvements/simplification both process and technology
- Have a business mindset to ensure benefits solutions are driving revenue/ contributing to employee experience.
- Manage stakeholders such as HR leaders CFO’s Business leaders CGM..
- Manage country agenda independently.
