Job Summary
The Benefits Specialist is a critical role in the employee lifecycle. At Prove, we strive to ensure we are attracting, retaining, and motivating Prove’s talented employees. This role will coordinate and
drive the development and execution of the Company’s Health and Welfare Benefits. A key goal for the Benefits Specialist is to partner with the Manager, Compensation and Benefits to deliver best in
class programs and create initiatives to support all aspects of employee well-being.
Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Manages the day-to-day processing of benefits which includes onboarding, terminations, and partnering with our third party administrator to coordinate leave of absence
- Ensure confidentiality while maintaining employee benefits and payroll records
- Respond to benefit inquiries from plan participants relating to eligibility, plan provisions, enrollments, and status changes
- Serve as liaison for benefit vendors, reviewing vendor site portals, and maintaining updates
- Reconcile and validate monthly invoices for accuracy and send to A/P for processing
- Support international benefits, invoices, and reconciliation. May need to work with international People team partners to understand statutory requirements and design programs that will work for growing global population
- Work closely with payroll to ensure benefit deductions are entered correctly in the system
- Lead employee communications and promotions for benefits through email, presentations, utilizing the People section on the Intranet, and updating our external website as appropriate
- Coordinate special projects and events throughout the year including all phases of Open Enrollment and monthly and/or quarterly lunch and learns
- Participate in any ongoing implementation or upgrades of the Company’s HRIS as it relates to benefits
- Provide backup to onboarding activities such as new hire orientation as needed
- May collaborate with other members of the People team to drive company wide initiatives
Experience and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- At least 2-3 yrs of direct experience as a benefits professional
- Experience in Human Resources, payroll or other area where maintaining confidentiality is critical
- Knowledge and experience related to federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Experience in leave of absence administration a plus
- Experience with Paylocity a plus
- High level of attention to detail and flexibility
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at one time, while still meeting deadlines critical to project
success or payroll processing - Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness
- Experience with Google Suite of products and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and partners internal and external to Prove.

The salary range for this role is $65,000- $75,000 plus company bonus. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, geo-location and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
