Job Description

Hi, we’re CompanyCam.

We create simple-to-use, visual-first communication and accountability tools for contractors. Imagine a B2B SaaS (business-to-business software-as-a-service) app that doesn’t look like garbage, built by a team of capable, laid-back people.

But don’t let the chill throw you off; we’re a fast-growing, product-led startup with big plans for the future.

The Role

Do you genuinely enjoy working in People Operations/Benefits? Do you enjoy creating best-in-industry employment experiences, starting with educating new employees about our kick-ass benefits and extending through the entire employee life cycle? Do you love processes and the joy of crafting the process? (Yes, we just said joy and process in the same sentence). Are you a strategic thinker and long-term visionary...who also isn't afraid to get into the fine details of HR? If you answered 'yes' to these questions you owe it to yourself to read on - and apply!

CompanyCam is growing fast. We’re looking for people who can juggle multiple projects, processes, and tasks at once while maintaining a keen focus on our internal customers (our employees). Additionally, our Benefits Specialist focuses on “doing good” for our people (and their families) by strategically placing themselves between our executives, the rest of the company, and our benefits providers.

In this job you will...
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, high performance culture. PeopleOps leads by modeling the kind of company everyone wants to work for.
  • Manage the benefit enrollment process.
  • Educate employees on CompanyCam’s robust bennies and perks package. Making complex things simple is key. This includes developing self-service resources about our benefits that are easy to digest.
  • Communicate concisely and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Make data-driven decisions.
  • Lead relevant trainings for groups of all sizes (company-wide, individually).
  • Advocate and problem solve to ensure accuracy of all benefit enrollments across our lines of coverage by conducting regular enrollment audits.
  • Develop & coordinate company wellness initiatives.
  • Research the market to keep CompanyCam competitive with our Total Rewards offerings. Provide data to leaders and lead discussions around market changes and employee benefits packages.
  •
You must...
  • Show up every day, taking the courage to do the difficult but necessary stuff.
  • Grow up constantly: you're okay working in an environment full of change. You take responsibility, love ownership, learn continuously, and have a growth mindset.
  • Do good by treating your co-workers and customers the way you would like to be treated.
  • Be technically savvy and hungry to learn the ins and outs of our platforms quickly.
  • Be a flexible team player. At times you might help others on the Operations Team with projects.
  • Have stellar communication skills - both verbal and written. The majority of the job is great communication.
  • Have experience and an understanding of regulations pertaining to the Affordable Care Act, COBRA, and other related government regulations.
  • Have a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Have a knack for details.
  • Have a customer-focused mindset.
  • Collaborate effectively and practice autonomy when needed.
  • Have strong task-management and prioritization skills.
  • Be able to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Reside permanently and currently in the US. Sorry, we're not hiring outside the US at this time even if you're willing to work during US time zones.
It'd be nice if you...
  • Have 2-3 years of experience working in Employee Benefits.
  • Have a secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Reside permanently and currently in Lincoln, NE or the surrounding metro area.
  • Have HR Certification(s) or are in the process of obtaining one.
  • Experience with a LMS (we use Rise).
  • Experience within our frequently-used softwares, such as Rippling, Pigment, Lattice, Notion, Slack, ClickUp, Greenhouse, etc.
  • Are fluent in writing and speaking Spanish.
