Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Scope of Work documents with technical attachments (SLDs, layouts, control architecture) for Battery Energy Storage System and Electrical Balance of Plant
  • Review subcontractor's documents and track document status during project life cycle
  • Size, spec out and select BESS and BOP Equipment
  • Create BOMs and Follow up 3rd party orders with suppliers
  • Lead FATs and report results
  • Interface with customer and other internal and external stakeholders directly during project execution
  • Monitor and Control Engineering scope of work and coordinate with subcontractors during design, construction, and commissioning stage
  • Responsible for technical change management and identifying gaps in scope
  • Support proposal activities during bid stage, provide consultative support to sales and estimating groups, regional operations teams and procurement for strategic order wins
  • Support preparation of project weekly/monthly reports and schedules updates
  • Support preparing of project commissioning procedures, LOTO, energization plans
  • Supervise site installation and commissioning activities
  • Prepare Site commissioning and performance test reports/results

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree on Electrical, Electronics, Control Engineering or related fields from accredited university
  • 5+ Years' experiences in power generation, Renewable Energy, Energy storage or microgrid industry
  • 2+ Years' of experience sizing and reading specs for electrical equipment such as Batteries, Power Electronic Equipment (PCS-Inverters) Transformers, Switchgears, cables (for low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage equipment)
  • 2+ Years' experience ESS use case details for both Behind the Meter and Front of the Meter applications such as Peak Shaving, Energy Shifting, Frequency Response, Voltage Support
  • Available to travel 25% of the time

WE VALUE

  • Understand Battery Energy Storage system and Electrical Balance of Plant design
  • Understand electric Utility, Electrical System operators and customer requirements
  • Field experience on commissioning activities on Energy Storage and Energy Management Projects
  • Conventional or Renewable Power Plant design experience and Power system studies (short circuit, grounding study, protection study, load flow, arc flash) hands on experience is an advantage.
  • Familiar with IEEE, NEC, NETA and Energy storage related codes and standards (such as NFPA, UL)
  • Hands on experience on Communication/Control and SCADA is an advantage
  • Knowledge on BMS, EMS, Metering and Telemetry
  • General knowledge on EPC Turnkey Project Execution principles
  • Proper communications skills
  • HSE discipline, experience following safety procedures
