BestDrive Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest region possibly covering Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Tennessee
Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager position is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Responsibilities: • Develop and assist in the assignment of individual sales and expense budgets for each Commercial Sales Representative in accordance with company goals and budgets. • Achieve contribution targets established in the annual business plan/budget, with ultimate responsibility for regional financial targets. • Provide regular reporting of business results, trends, and competitive information. • When deviations from the business plan occur, propose and implement corrective actions to bring the business back in line with planning. • Develop and maintain sales activity at key regional fleets, both national account and dealer controlled within areas of geographic responsibility. Achieve assigned sales targets in assigned region and accounts. • Function as account manager for target dealers as assigned by key account and regional managers.• Participate in sales meetings, product and training meetings and new account development at target dealers. Identify opportunities for new product lines. • Assist in the development of product strategy to ensure current product lines are renewed or discarded in a normal product life cycle plan so that competition is not able to circumvent the market share.• Contribute significantly to the market business development strategy to achieve the Company's ambition to dramatically grow market share and market penetration in the region, with a strong focus on key account development. • Identify and establish key direct customers and coordinate sales strategies while exploring the market for new business opportunities. • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share. • Provides training and benchmarking for product performance. Establish and maintain training database to ensure proper distribution across all regions.• Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends. • Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities. Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. • Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product. Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. • Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units. • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience OR high school diploma and 7+ years of relevant experience• 2+ years of outside sales experience• Ability to travel 50% within the region• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and this position will require physical demands, such as walking, sitting, squatting, and climbing around commercial vehicles• Valid Driver's License• Must be authorized to work in the US without visa or other sponsorship• You must live within the territory (CA, UT, AZ)
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience in sales leadership, developing sales strategies, and commercial tire sales experience
