About the Team

Workday's Customer Experience (CX) Analytics organization is expanding to assist in steering us toward our goal of growing from $5B to $10B in revenue! The CX Analytics group is a key player in driving this growth, by providing insights when and where users need them to support decision-making and drive business outcomes. Whether via dashboards, reports, or alerts and regardless of system, this group ensures all Customer Success insights are accurate and consistent, easy-to-understand and impactful.

About the Role

The ideal candidate must have a strong data architecture/analytics background and familiarity with Workday's business data and a passion for analytics. This role is unique in that it will leverage your technical, analytical and operational skills. As a BI Analyst on the CX Advanced Analytics & Architecture team you will be tasked with developing a deep understanding of the business you support while working on the technical and operational execution of multiple initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for the person with technical expertise who is interested in expanding their experience into analytics.

About You

Candidates must be passionate about innovative software development, motivated to work on central impactful components, eager to learn about new technologies, and not afraid to bring bold ideas to tackle problems. Note: This role is based in our Salt Lake City office and is an office based role. All candidates must be local or self-relocate.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in figuring out test methodology and test data setup to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability
  • Work directly with agile/ Kanban software development teams to incorporate test strategies throughout the development process
  • Become a functional product expert for our Specialized Customer Success team acting as a stakeholder advocate and testing with an end-user perspective
  • Design test cases based on high level requirements and high level designs
  • Work closely with business owners and developers to provide guidance into automation work

Basic Qualifications

The ideal candidate is someone with speed and agility who can collaborate with cross functional groups on complex projects.

  • Experience building reports and dashboards in Tableau with SFDC and SQL (intermediate to advanced) a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics (or related field) or equivalent experience required. Customer Success experience a plus.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with analytics.
  • Solid understanding of relational data concepts and data modeling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively elicit and translate business requirements.
Other Qualifications

  • Agile experience and understanding the QA role within the model
  • Enterprise Applications testing experience is a bonus
  • Be process and detail oriented
  • Clear interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with analytics and databases will be helpful
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a related field is an asset
  • SFDC experience a plus
