POSITION: BI Data Integration Developer

LOCATION: Houston TX

DUTIES: Work with business users and members of the technical team on the design and development of highly scalable ETL processes utilizing Informatica Power Center. Develop and implement technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing, and other ETL-related activities. Design ETL processes and develop source-to-target data mappings, integration workflows, and load processes that assist in implementing enterprise-class data warehousing solutions. Develop and ensure adherence to locally defined standards for all developed components. Maintain common code libraries, so object can be shared for all environments Dev, Test, and Production. Prepare the designs, documents, and architect data maps, develop data quality components and establish and conduct unit tests. Write unit test cases collaborating with Business Analysts and QA team member. Validate and verify the ETL solution at all testing phases which includes Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, End to End Testing, Regression Testing, Sanity Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Disaster Recovery Testing, Production Acceptance Testing and Pre-prod Testing phases. Organize and facilitate defect triage meeting, prioritize resolution of defects and bugs. Participate in requirement, design, and development reviews. Conduct and participate in meetings with owners of key system components to fully understand current data and systems environments. Assist in production support by resolving source data issues and refining transformation rules. Analyze source system data and work with technical and business representatives to determine strategies for handling data anomalies that are identified. Promote ETL solutions, go-live support and monitor batch jobs. Responsible for planning and defining background Informatica workflow runs, cutover plan and strategy, go-live schedule including the scheduled release dates. Provide data analysis and technical documentation for both source and target mappings. Identify problems, develop ideas, and propose solutions within differing situations requiring analytical, evaluative, or constructive thinking in daily work. Follow Agile Scrum methodology for day-to-day job responsibilities and use JIRA and TFS (Azure DevOps) for the status tracking. Utilize PL/SQL, Informatica, Oracle, and SQL Server. Utilize Unix scripting language, GIT and Autosys. Perform ETL-related activities: data movement, data quality, and data cleansing. Utilize the Informatica platform to extract, transform, and load data through development, testing and integration of ETL routines and external programming/scripting languages. Identify and troubleshoot complex technical problems, develop ideas, and propose solutions within differing solutions which requires analytical, evaluative, or constructive thinking in daily work.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience utilizing JIRA and TFS (Azure DevOps) for the status tracking; utilizing PL/SQL, Informatica, Oracle, and SQL Server; utilizing Unix scripting language, GIT and Autosys; performing ETL-related activities: data movement, data quality, and data cleansing; utilizing the Informatica platform to extract, transform, and load data through development, testing and integration of ETL routines and external programming/scripting languages; and identifying and troubleshooting complex technical problems, developing ideas, and proposing solutions within differing solutions which requires analytical, evaluative, or constructive thinking in daily work.
