What we need:

As a BI Developer, you are responsible for working with Finance, Sales and Marketing, and Operations business analysts and business users to understand business needs and create reporting and analytics applications and capabilities. In this role, you will design, develop, implement, and support analytics applications, dashboards, and reports, primarily using the Qlikview/QlikSense platform.

What you'll be doing:

  • Reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into optimal and scalable Qlikview/QlikSense data model and visualization.
  • Design, develop and maintain data models according to BI architecture guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing enhancement and support for data models and applications in the production environment. Understand critical needs of the business, identify and fix issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Collaborate on design options and approaches, provide mock ups of proposed solutions and develop the appropriate applications and capabilities according to the agreed to specifications.
  • Promote and educate users on self-service BI capabilities.
  • Perform code reviews to identify coding, process and functionality improvements.
  • Configure user authentication and role-based access to specific data and applications
  • Work on troubleshooting, identifying issues and bottlenecks, problem solving and impact analysis.
  • Provide production support by diagnosing and correcting failures.
  • Follow the Scrum process and take ownership of Jira stories.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, ability to work independently as well as ability to work within a team
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical staff
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willing to learn and able to adapt to new technologies as needed
  • Experience with Python or SQL programming is ideal
