What We Need:

Brady Corporation is looking for an enthusiastic Business Intelligence professional to perform as a QlikView developer working on Business Intelligence solutions throughout the company. He or she will work closely with Business Intelligence leads, developers, analysts and business users to review requirements, create specification documents, and develop, test and support the data models/applications required to meet business needs and provide business value.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Analyze workflows, diagrams and functional specs provided by business analysts or business leads to determine data requirements and sources for development requests.
• Create technical specifications for the design and development of new data models or changes to existing models. Extract and analyze data samples to confirm the model design. Develop the appropriate data model according to the agreed to specifications.
• Work with business analysts and business leads to understand the user interface and reporting requirements, collaborate on design options and approaches, provide mock ups of proposed solutions and develop the appropriate application according to the agreed to specifications
• Identify test scenarios, create test plans and thoroughly test the data models and applications before submitting for user acceptance testing.
• Working in an agile environment, complete the development work chosen or assigned in each Sprint and provide support to developers with less experience in the completion of their work. Complete work with a high degree of quality and user acceptance.
• Create the designs and technical specifications for complex requirements and projects.
• Follow and adhere to the development/coding standards. Propose additions or changes to the standards.
• Participate in peer review sessions; present personal development for review and provide feedback on the development of others.
• Develop new and maintain existing data models according to BI architecture guidelines, including security and distribution of sensitive data.
• Provides on-going support for existing data models and applications in the production environment. Understands critical needs of the business and identifies and fixes issues with a sense of urgency

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics or Science discipline, or comparable business experience
• At least 3 years of development experience with Business Intelligence tools for data modeling and analysis, user interface, and report design, or 2 or more years of QlikView specific experience in those areas.
• Experience working in a data analytics / reporting / information delivery environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently trouble-shoot issues and suggest or develop solutions
• Strong communications skills and ability to work as a team player. Ability to communicate well with internal business users, peers and people across countries/cultures and time zones.

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Experience with Qlik tools
• Knowledge of agile development
• Experience working with the software development life cycle.
• Experience with sql queries.
• Strong analytical and communication skills
