Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mid-Level Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with a strong background in the Microsoft stack, including SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in BI development and a solid understanding of accounting and financial principles. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing BI solutions to support the organization’s financial and accounting operations.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree is required.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.
• Directing system testing and validation procedures.
• Directing software programming and documentation development.
• Consulting with departments or customers on project status and proposals.
• Working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
• Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.
• Consulting with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
• Designing, developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict, measure outcomes, and design consequences.
• Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status.
• Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.
• Work closely with accounting, finance, and other business teams to gather requirements and provide BI solutions that meet their needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree.
• Extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life cycle.
• 5 years of experience in BI development and a solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.
