BI Engineer (Snowflake)

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Evaluate snowflake design consideration for any change in application.
• Build the logical and physical data model for snowflake as per the changes required.
• Define roles, and privileges required to access different database objects.
• Define virtual warehouse sizing for snowflake for a different type of workloads.
• Ability to build data processes, pipelines, workflows, dependencies, data structures, and data transformations.
• Working experience on MS-SQL Server database and/or MongoDB and/or My-SQL
• Ability to code in Java, Python, and JavaScript
• Proficient in performing root cause analysis of existing models and proposing a solution
• Identify opportunities to improve, speed up and innovate the data models
• Working experience in cloud computing architecture
• Experience in working with ETL tools.
• Strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3+years’ experience in
• Modern BI solution development using AWS solution suite.
• Design and implement effective analytics solutions and models with Snowflake.
• Data warehousing concepts, ETL development, data modeling, metadata management, performance tuning, and data quality.
• Relational and multidimensional data design and development techniques include star schema, snowflake schema, ETL, etc.
• Design and code required database structures and components (Streams, tasks, snow pipe).
• Implementing ETL for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Solutions.
• 2+ years’ experience using Tableau.
• 5+ years’ experience in designing, developing, and maintaining SSIS packages.
• Experience with MS SQL Server 2016/2019 database technologies and ETL best practices with MS SQL Server environment.
• RDBMS design, development, and performance tuning
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Mongo DB
