BI HANA Developer

Job Summary:

• HANA BI Developer responsible for development, maintenance, and enhancement of data modeling/extraction in SAP Business Warehouse and HANA environments.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Experience in SAP BI/BW full lifecycles implementations (BW on HANA modelling).
• Develop and implement BW Data Models (Info cubes, DSO, Multi Providers, Info sets) Create Transformations and DTPs to load and update data into Data Targets to achieve required results.
• Provides ongoing support of the existing Business Objects Reporting, Data Services, and BW/HANA systems - resolves coding, configuration, security, performance, and data issues.
• Experience with custom data extraction from SAP ECC using generic data extractors Experience enhancing business content extractors, transformations and OLAP variables using ABAP routines.
• Design and develop scalable, reusable data models in SAP HANA in line with architectural standards and best practices. Proficient in HANA performance analysis and performance optimization.
• SAP ETL Experience with BODS, SLT, SDI.
• Conduct Unit Testing of all development
• Knowledge of Analytical Privileges, Roles and Authorizations.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to validate user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options.
• Experience in data analysis/root cause analysis with problem solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Assesses objectives for assigned project phases and recommends technical strategies and tactics to achieve business needs.
• Uses process design technology methodologies, programming languages and tools and solutions design techniques to develop applications to meet business specifications.
• Validates functional specifications, builds technical specifications and develops application documentation.
• Performs analysis, design, development and testing of applications to solve business requirements.

Job Level Specifications:

• 7 years of technical experience working in BW/BI on HANA and native HANA modelling.
• 7 years of experience developing code within SAP ABAP Programming language in developing complex business rules in BI.
• Experience using Software lifecycle tools such as HP Quality Centre /Service now.
• 7 years of experience working Bex query designer and Business Objects reporting tools.
• 3 years functional experience working with SAP QTC, Pricing MM modules and its interfaces to external third-party tools.
• All experience may be gained concurrently

Work Experience:

• Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

• Typically requires 7-9 years with bachelor's or 5-7 years with masters
