BI Portal Engineer

The BI Portal Engineer is a technical expert with a deep understanding of the data and systems supporting the reporting platforms that drive the McKesson's CoverMyMeds (CMM) business.

This is a software engineering and development position requiring maturity about meeting commitments and high expectations for the quality of their own work with a vision for the continuous growth and improvement of CMM as a best-in-class Business Intelligence organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Possesses the capability to excel both as a collaborative team member and as an independent contributor, developing and delivering software that is not only of high quality and performance but also secure. Consistently strives to meet or surpass expectations with new and evolving requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, which may comprise Architects, Leads, Developers, Quality Engineers, Product Management, Project Management, Team Managers, Business System Analysts, and Support and Operations personnel, to facilitate requirements discussions and manage internal/external integrations.
• Demonstrate exceptional troubleshooting and issue resolution skills, with a focus on minimizing future maintenance needs and providing sustainable, long-term solutions.
• Constantly seek opportunities to improve the way we collaborate. Actively seek ways to improve processes. Welcome feedback and respond in a positive way.
• Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical settings
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of data privacy policies and procedures, ensuring the protection of distinct customer data and maintaining clear separation.
• Engage in continuous software and process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining efforts for both our customers and ourselves.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of experience in a Business Intelligent Reporting environment
• 4 year technical degree or equivalent experience
• Programming Languages: Java (+JSP/JSTL), HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, HQL
• API's: Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Data, etc.), JPA/Hibernate, React, jQuery, JSON/RESTful services, Fusion Charts, ASPOSE Cells, POI

Nice to Have

• 2+ years working with healthcare and other highly protected data in an enterprise environment
• Web Application Server Environment: Apache, NGINX, Tomcat, Linux (basic commands + shell scripting experience)
• Cloud Environment: Kubernetes, Docker, GCP, Azure
• OLAP Database: SAP Sybase IQ, Oracle SuperCluster, Snowflake
• OLTP: Oracle, MS SQL Server
• Security and monitoring: Spring Security, Okta/OAuth 2.0, Veracode, Dynatrace
• Development /IDE: IntelliJ, DB Client such as InteractiveSQL, Aqua Data Studio, TOAD, RazorSql, ISQL
• PC (or Mac) skills, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
• Change Management: JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow
• Version Control: GitHub
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Maven, Ant, Shell scripts

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$100,100 - $166,900
