The Bid Desk Manager is responsible for improving the Win-Rate for RFx and traditional bid requests. This position is highly visible and will engage with Sellers and Sales Leadership on all Large Opportunities and RFx responses to provide competitive and profitable pricing guidance. A key function of this position is to work across multiple groups at Zones to collect costs, programs, and competitive analysis to craft comprehensive pricing models that feed into the business decision-making process. This will require engaging with PPM, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal to identify the key competitive levers to set Zones up for success. After bids are submitted, this position will manage Zones' competitive data archive. In addition, they will monitor opportunities as they progress to term negotiation and final fulfillment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Attend all kick-off, status, and update calls related to bids and RFx, serving as the main point of contact for the overall pricing model on hardware and software products
- Finalize and deliver comprehensive pricing models that represent the economics from all internal stakeholders
- Track and analyze win/loss results and key metrics from sales performance. Evaluate and optimize effectiveness of pricing guidance
- Design reports and findings documents. Distribute and present reports and key findings.
- Serve as a facilitator amongst multiple stakeholders with different initiatives to ensure the overall needs of the customer and Zones are met
- Drive accountability among all participating groups within Zones to execute the final agreed upon strategies
- Be a leader in the organization; provide coaching and development for team members
Education
- BA/BS in Business, Finance, or related field
Required Experience
- Effective communication skills with the ability to correspond at multiple levels and functions
- 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, procurement, B2B sales, partner and/or program management in related tech industry
- Experience in developing Power BI visualization a plus
- Ability to translate sales and gross margin data into actionable reports for stakeholders
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills to communicate with business executives across the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent overall project management skills, and ability to execute tasks and prioritize multiple deadlines, collaborating with various stakeholders
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong customer service orientation
Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $80,000 - $90,000.
Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Washington area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
