We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to produce professionally written, highly personalised proposals and responses that clearly articulate Sysco GB’s value proposition and win themes.

This role will be integral to Sysco GB submitting tailored proposals and contributing to an increased win rate of bids won.

You will be a key member of the bid management team and will work closely with all Sysco GB sales teams to produce easy to read, compelling, impactful, evidenced written proposals that clearly articulate the benefits of Sysco GB in meeting the customers specific needs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Highly personalised and grammatically correct proposal content
• Ensure win themes are articulated in such a way to meet / exceed the customer’s requirements
• Edit responses from a variety of SME’s across the business
• Deliver against agreed tender deadlines
• Participate in key review meetings / final document review
• Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant
• Source case studies and testimonials which use evidence of Sysco GB’s success with existing customers to articulate the benefits for new customers
• Coach the Junior Bid Writer in writing best practice

What we are looking for:

• Excellent written English language skills
• Proven skills in writing and editing proposal content
• Strong proofing abilities
• A high attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines
• Proven bid team involvement
• Actively seek to obtain insight into the foodservice industry and competitor activity to ensure tenders are market leading
• Proactive and self-motivated work style with proven ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
