Position Summary:
SHEIN is the largest online-only fashion company in the world! We are looking for experienced Big Data Engineers to support operations, solve complex issues, and drive growth. We achieve this goal in our cloud batch environment by building and maintaining data transformations in Apache Hive leveraging both Hadoop MapReduce and Apache Tez frameworks. Senior Big Data Engineers adhere to software/data engineering best practices, and ensure the security and quality of our data to the delight of our consumers.
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for development and support of the Big Data pipeline jobs in a secure and performant manner
• Create best-in-class data analytical solutions on Apache Hive with strong referenceable documentation for implementing, executing, and delivering data insights
• Work Jira projects or project steps to resolution within a team and / or while working independently with minimal direction and guidance
• Follow approved life cycle methodologies and DevOps / DataOps procedures, perform program coding and testing, and create and maintain design and support documentation
• Partner in a cross-functional global organization across data, security, infrastructure, and business teams to build trust and ensure successful delivery of top-quality data solutions

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of engineering, computer science or equivalent advance technology field of study
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with large data volumes which includes processing, transforming and transporting large scale data using technologies such as: MapReduce, TEZ, Hive SQL, Presto SQL, and ClickHouse
• A minimum of 3 years demonstrated ability to write complex SQL and in Data Warehousing (dimensional modeling)
• A minimum of 3 years competency programing in Python, Java, or Scala
• A minimum of 3 years in developing Big Data applications using Hadoop ecosystem, streaming data platforms, RDBMS, and NoSQL database technologies. Including experience in similar data technologies, data pipelines, and associated architecture patterns on public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exudes the appropriate level of judgment and maturity
• Must be a strong communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills to translate the vision and strategy into clear priorities and direction, both internally and externally.
• Fluent in Mandarin is preferred
• E-Commerce industry experience is preferred
