Big Data Engineer

Information Technology Strategies, LLC. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Big Data Engineer to work for our company. 

Summary:  

• Client Agency is ​Defense Logistics Agency.​ 
• A CURRENT U.S. Government SECRET Clearance or above. Sponsorship will not be provided. 
• Will be responsible for the engineering of big data solutions and multi-tiered data environments. 

Requirements:  

• A CURRENT U.S. Government SECRET Clearance or above. Sponsorship will not be provided. 
• Must have 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have a B.S. Degree in a related field.
• Must have experience with Hadoop-based technologies (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapReduce, Hive, HDFS) 
• Must have experience with NoSQL technologies (MongoDB and Cassandra) 
• Must be able to work independently, utilizing big data solutions to provide actionable insights for addressing strategic and tactical mission objectives. 
• Must have the ability to design data models using Enterprise Data modeling tools (ERWin and Visio) 
• Must have the ability to analyze and develop data set processes for data ingestion, modeling, and mining.

Preferences:

• Experience with large scale big data deployments in Government and large commercial environments.
