Position Summary
SHEIN's Big Data team harnesses vast amounts of data to provide a digitally empowered agile supply chain and enable a dynamic digital customer experience. The Big Data team is comprised of developers, data architects, cloud infrastructure engineers, and a broad spectrum of data professionals committed to making the beauty of fashion accessible to all.
We are looking for an aspiring Big Data Engineer Intern to support our big data operations. Big Data Engineers will monitor and escalate big data jobs for SHEIN's very large and constantly active Big Data platform that has thousands of data pipelines. Within this role, you will run SQL queries to investigate issues and help improve data quality. As a Big Data Engineer at SHEIN, you will work with an experienced team who will support the development of your skillsets to prepare you for the workforce.
Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for support, monitoring, and implementation of the Big Data platforms and tools for securing, processing, and querying data at scale
• Create best-in-class data analytical solutions with strong referenceable documentation for implementing, executing, and delivering data insights
• Partner in a cross-functional global organization across data, security, infrastructure, and business teams to build trust and ensure successful delivery of top-quality data solutions
• Follow approved life cycle methodologies and DevOps/DataOps procedures, perform program coding and testing, and create and maintain design and support documentation
• Activity work on projects or project steps within a broader project and / or solve project objectives while working independently

Job Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of engineering, computer science or equivalent advanced technology field of study
• 2+ years of coursework or project experience supporting operations and using data RDBMS or NoSQL database technologies
• Familiar with similar data technologies, data pipelines, and associated architecture patterns on public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exudes the appropriate level of judgment
• Must be a strong communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills to translate the vision and strategy into clear priorities and direction, both internally and externally
• Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred
