Job Description
The Work force data storage and delivery product is critical function of JP Morgan Chase Human resource globally serving AI/ML, Integration & Distribution, Advanced data analytics supporting digitalization of firms HR process. The team is on a transformative & modernization journey to support our firm wide initiatives to achieve internal and industry competitive benefits to be the leader in this space. This role is primarily focused on part of transformative journey supporting end to end data processing involving data ingestion, storage and delivery of work force data of the firm.
Job responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
• Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
• Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
• Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Minimum 2+ Experience in a Big Data technology (Hadoop and Spark Architecture, Performance tuning ,Spark SQL, Streaming, HIVE, SQOOP, KAFKA, Impala, HBASE, Entitlements etc., )
• 5+ years with experience in data engineering development
• Experience in writing SQL queries
• Familiarity with relational database environment (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
• Data driven mindset, experience in data analysis and data mining.
• Experience in developing, deploying, and monitoring in building large distributed and parallel systems with DevOps knowledge.
• Proven experience in implementing a production ready, highly scalable, end to end solution on a big data platform.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies
