This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office an average of two to three days per week with the remainder worked remotely.
Job Summary:
Responsible for all areas of financial and management reporting and/or to produce timely, accurate and reliable financial analyses as part of Central Finance team. You will prepare complex analytical reports and financial statements, conduct accounting-based research and analysis projects, and make presentations and recommendations to management. Day-to-day focus is on resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines, or processes. We apply the hybrid working style in both office and remote basis, requesting 2-3 days in the office.
Major Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility is for the development and management of both internal and external reporting of financial and managerial information.• Cover all the components of managerial accounting to create various analyzing reports.• Prepare monthly financial closing and budgeting/forecasting process.• Reconcile the managerial data with financial statement items and manage the data on multiple managerial accounting standard in OFSA.• Prepare semi-annual Tokyo Head Office meeting materials.• Participate in various bank-wide or department specific projects to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.• Respond to inquiries or requests for information from HO, regulatory agencies, internal and external auditors, or other areas in the Bank. Accounting/Internal Control.• Facilitate the approval process for facility Investment etc.• Support Treasury matters.• Act as liaison between each department and HO to resolve the issues.• Perform other ad hoc project work.
Qualifications:
• Bilingual English/Japanese required• Degree from a four-year college (e.g., B.A., B.S.) with 2-4 years' work experience in the financial services industry
• Hyperion knowledge preferred
• CPA qualification preferred
• Ability to develop and design complex spreadsheets, databases, or report formats• Microsoft Office experience, specifically Excel and PowerPoint required
Salary:
The typical base pay range for this role is between $90,000 - $110,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
