Billing Accountant

Main Purpose

In order to ensure there is a steady flow of open shifts available, we have to ensure we provide an exceptional level of customer service to our clients - from solutioning and sales to ongoing support, to billing, and more. As part of our Finance Team, the Credit Control Manager plays a key role in ensuring that credit is properly assessed and granted to our customers, as well as ensuring that outstanding balances are collected within a reasonable timeframe. This is a crucial role in providing professional account management and is in a position to offer high-impact results to extend relationships and prevent client turnover.
Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing ledger of 300+ clients in multiple industries and geographies
• Proactively create the processes and systems to actively monitor and measure outstanding debt and reduce overdue debts while providing exceptional service levels to prevent client turnover
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Account Management, Sales, and other groups to resolve client issues and create a seamless positive experience
• Research and identify discrepancies and address them with appropriate internal stakeholders
• Drive implementation of new processes and workflows, and continuously seek out opportunities to improve existing processes and workflows to resolve queries, open support issues, and gaps in our workflows that pose risks for collections and timeliness of payment
• Apply amendments and adjustments to customer account details when necessary
• Drive collection efforts and communications to ensure client remission of owed monies
• Raise credit note requests where appropriate and support other relevant ad hoc admin duties
• Maintain accurate data and records related to finance and collection activities

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years in a billing, accounting, accounts receivable, invoicing, or similar relevant role
• A love of technology - we are a tech company who is disrupting the industry with novel ideas and technology/data-driven solutions, all employees should understand, love, and get excited about tech
• There are proven methodologies and regulations governing the practice of finance, so you must have a firm understanding of these principles, as well as a passion for creating novel solutions and processes to adapt to changing factors such as new clients, industries, geographies, etc.
• Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills - you will love to learn, to teach, and to support the team in an open exchange of ideas and knowledge to improve the capabilities and effectiveness of one another proactively
• Highly proficient with various finance/ERP systems: SAP, Salesforce, NetSuite, etc
• Highly organized, independent, and analytical
• Must be comfortable and capable of working in a hybrid model, with in-office collaboration and attendance at our Austin office
