Support the Finance leadership in carrying out management and corporate accounting responsibilities by maintaining accurate financial information and related reporting, and ensuring internal controls are preserved.
Engage with cross-functional internal partners (Sales, Client Service, Finance) to properly control the invoicing and related revenue recognition for our Software as a Service (SaaS) based business model.
What you'll be doing...

• Controls the invoicing process for sales of revenue management software solutions to hospitality-based clients
• Communicates with clients (internal and external) to resolve invoicing questions
• Applies revenue recognition criteria to record revenue on client sales
• Reconciles and analyzes various GL accounts and associated cost center reports
• Prepares schedules and work papers for auditors
• Works with Sales and Account Management teams to meet objectives while ensuring that finance guidelines are followed.
• Identifies areas needing improvement and implements processes and procedures to streamline operations and support best practices.
• Tests department computer systems as needed.
• May specialize in a specified subset of more complex transactions requiring advanced technical skills and/or excellent communication skills.
• May create documentation of processes and procedures to be used by both other team members and users outside of Finance or Accounting.
• Prepares various analytical reports for management as required.
• Assists in preparing month-end closing reports.

What you'll bring to us...

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of experience in accounting within a corporate environment.
• 2+ years revenue recognition experience, preferably in a SaaS based technology business model
• 3 years' experience working with ERP software (i.e. Oracle, SAP)
• Experience with invoicing and billing controls associated with sales contracts
• Experience with cost accounting, budgets, and multi-currency
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements
• Proven excellence in written and verbal communication
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
