About This Role:

The Billing Assistant provides administrative support to the Billing Specialist. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, submitting client authorization requests to DHS and insurance companies to ensure they are up to date, reviewing and process client authorizations, verifying client eligibility through the DHS MN-ITS website on a regular basis, processing and sending out monthly client invoices, and assisting payroll staff with timely and accurate processing of biweekly timecards.

This is a hybrid role. In office portion can be based out of any of Accra's offices.

About You:

  • Degree, certification or coursework in Accounting, Finance or Business and/or applicable medical billing experience preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task independently and as a team with little supervision.
  • Superior attention to details with strong analytical and problem solving.
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Must pass a background study with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
