Job Summary:

TrustRx, a subsidiary of Healthcare.com, is a premier workers’ compensation pharmacy, is seeking a skilled and experienced Billing Manager to oversee and manage our billing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of our billing processes, leading a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong understanding of workers' compensation, medical billing practices, and relevant regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

Billing Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims, invoices, and payments.

Workers' Comp Billing Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of workers' compensation regulations, policies, and billing procedures to manage complex cases and resolve issues efficiently.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train a team of billing specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment and communicating with upper-level management.

Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including workers' compensation laws, HIPAA, and other healthcare billing standards. Prepare for and manage internal and external audits.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline billing processes, reduce errors, and enhance overall efficiency. Implement best practices and leverage technology to optimize operations.

Client and Payer Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and payers regarding billing inquiries, disputes, and resolutions. Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure satisfaction and timely payments.

Reporting and Analytics: Generate and analyze billing reports to track performance metrics, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions. Present findings to senior management and recommend actions to improve financial outcomes.

Software Management: Oversee the use of billing software, ensuring it is up-to-date and utilized effectively by the team. Coordinate with IT for system upgrades and troubleshooting.

Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about the latest billing practices, regulations, and software updates.


Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced certifications in medical billing or coding are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Experience in workers' compensation billing is highly preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Strong knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools.

Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of workers' compensation regulations, medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10), and compliance standards (HIPAA).

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of billing and reporting.

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with billing in a mail-order pharmacy setting.

Certification as a Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Coding Specialist

(CCS).

Familiarity with regulations related to workers' compensation and healthcare billing.


Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.

Bonus: Up to 30% of base salary, depending on experience and performance.
