Billing Specialist

The Billing Specialist at PLS processes the upload file in an accurate and timely manner while ensuring accuracy of customer invoices and carrier payments.

Schedule: This position is based in Cranberry Township, PA and will be Monday thru Friday. The position offers a hybrid schedule working a few days at home and the other days in-office. The first month, will be Monday-Friday in-office for training. 

More on what you will do: 

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of information to the billing department for customer invoicing and carrier payments.
• Audit LTL freight and carrier bills for accuracy and resolve conflicts.
• Process adjustments as necessary, ensuring proper documentation is provided.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner while maintaining good customer and carrier relationships.
• Communicate with the finance team and other support personnel along with internal and/or external customers to resolve issues.
• Ensure customer invoice requirements are met prior to and including delivery of invoices.
• Maintain customer profiles to ensure accuracy.
• Respond to all customer billing inquires via email and/or telephone.

As the Billing Specialist, you will be expected to have prior experience with: 

• Microsoft Office 
• Excel and accounting software (Microsoft AX preferred)

Exceptional candidates will have: 

• Associates degree in the financial field 
• Previous experience in the logistics industry, specifically LTL
• Oracle skills
