We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
- Heavily involved in the Accounts Receivable function. Duties will entail reviewing customer contracts, creating billing schedules, executing and delivering monthly invoices via various means, and initiating collection activities as necessary
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding customer invoicing and payments
- Use strong excel skills to create assigned journal entries in Netsuite and ensure adherence to the monthly close calendar
- Maintain various account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of assigned general ledgers accounts
- Document current processes as needed and provide suggestions for process improvement
- Work cross-functionally to reconcile between systems
- Assist accounting team with various projects and other duties

What you will contribute:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements to meet internal and external customer needs
- Ability to work on non-standardized projects or functions
- Drive to learn new processes and take ownership
- Strong sense of customer service and professionalism
What you bring to Uplight:
- 2+ years of Accounting experience, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
- 2+ years of billing and Accounts Receivable experience
- Excel skills - intermediate
- NetSuite or other large ERP
- Contract review experience
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized
Bonus points:
- Experience working with Advanced Revenue Module in Netsuite
- Experience working with utility companies or energy companies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Salary Range: $55,000 to $70,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
