Role Description

The Billing Systems and Tool Manager will serve as the primary technical support for our billing and payment systems ecosystem. In this role, you’ll support GFiber and Webpass billing platforms through ongoing management, monitoring, and post-deployment. You will actively monitor daily invoice and payment runs, support month-end close, maintain systems, triage and fix bugs, implement configuration changes, ensure revenue recognition accuracy, and grant and manage systems access. You’ll ensure billing and revenue assurance with minimal impact to customers by proactively identifying and triaging billing system issues in collaboration with the internal teams (Billing Operations, Finance, and Engineering) and third-party vendors. This role may require non-standard working hours including weekends or holidays as emergent system issues arise.

In this role, you'll:

  • Define and implement ongoing billing systems maintenance and failure prevention plans.
  • Support daily invoicing, payment run monitoring, and month-end close processes.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for billing bugs and partner with operational, technical, and vendor teams to resolve them.
  • Manage billing systems configuration and systems access.
  • Manage billing and payments vendor relationships, including defining SLAs, monitoring compliance and adherence, and developing daily operational models.
  • Develop billing playbook for issue triage, resolution, and post-mortems.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure timely response to critical system events.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years in billing and payment technical support or similar role experience.
  • Experience in B2C with an emphasis on recurring subscription billing.
  • Experience with Zuora, Adyen, and/or similar solutions.

It's preferred if you have:

  • Experience in Zuora configuration (e.g., Billing, Subscription Management, Payments) with Zuora admin certification or technical billing certifications a plus
  • Experience with managing vendor relationships focused on systems and support.
  • Experience with bank and payment gateways, preferably with Adyen.
  • Experience with billing systems transformation programs as well as billing and customer operations.
  • Experience with Business Management software, Salesforce, and ERP solutions.
  • Experience in cable, wireless, or telecom industries that use subscription services.
