BIM Specialist

The Role

The Nevada Facilities Infrastructure team is looking for a BIM Specialist to assist in creating the factory of the future by bringing conceptual designs to life.

Responsibilities

• Develop design document standards and exemplars per Tesla's current workflow utilizing Revit, Revizto, Navisworks, BlueBeam, and AutoCAD
• Develop training documentation of our modeling & BIM standards
• Establish onboarding documentation for new hires and contract Design positions
• Develop a repository for organized delivery of documents
• Hold training sessions for teams to apprehend and implement established standards and SOP
• Review drawing package submittals for technical and aesthetic accuracy

Requirements

• 4+ years of Computer Aided Design, Process and Mechanical Design and evidence of exceptional abilities
• Experience as a detailed designer or drafter in Process Piping Design, Mechanical Piping Design, Process Improvement, BIM or Operations within a high-tech industry, such as Petro-Chem, Pharmaceutical, Food & Bev and Semiconductor
• Proficient in the use of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
• Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 30, ASME, and building codes
