Job Description

The Position

The Associate Scientist is joining Bioanalytical Development within the Clinical Pharmacology Department to primarily focus on bioanalytical sample analysis with the opportunity for method development and optimization, in support of preclinical and clinical development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine non-GxP and GxP quantitative bioanalysis in a variety of biological matrices (fluids and tissues) in support of toxicokinetics, pharmacokinetics and biodistribution studies
  • Follow SOPs and stay up to date on regulations
  • Track progress against project timelines, generate regular status updates, and communicate progress and issues to management and cross-functional teams
  • Perform data analysis and interpretation
  • Conduct peer review of data
  • Present findings in team meetings
  • Setup and maintain lab instrumentation
  • Evaluate assay and instrument performance, ability to troubleshoot minor issues
  • Maintain a well-documented laboratory notebook
  • Effectively manage workload with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to safe laboratory practices
  • Multi-task across several projects and manage time effectively to achieve results

Requirements:

  • Minimum BS degree with 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/CRO industry
  • Experience in a GxP environment performing sample analysis
  • Demonstrated project and time management
  • Good documentation practices with excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-disciplinary, matrixed environment

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $50,000 - $90,000 annually.
