We are seeking a strongly motivated Biology Lab Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting operations of the Biology team at Science. Science is a multidisciplinary company spanning discovery research, preclinical translation, and biologics manufacturing. The resulting multidisciplinary team uses all sorts of equipment and reagents. You will take responsibility for the general state of our lab spaces, make the trains run on time, ensure we never run out of critical reagents, and see that our equipment is properly serviced and maintained. This job is perfect for people who live to bring order to chaos, and thrives being on top of the details.
Role & responsibilities:
- Manage inventory for biology teams at science
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained according to SOPs
- Oversee the laboratory facility operations
- Ensure that the biology space at Science are clean and organized
- Maintain accurate and organized records
Key qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable around a range of technologies
- Quick learner
- Intense energy, strives to fix problems before anybody else knows they are problems
Salary/Pay Range:
For individuals hired to work in California, Science is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. We determine your level based on your interview performance and make an offer based on geo-located salary bands. The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please keep in mind that the equity portion of the offer is not included in these numbers.
