Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for mechanical testing of biomedical devices, including mechanical design, literature review, material characterization testing, biomechanical testing and general research support.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Biomechanical testing

Technical support in a laboratory environment

Product functional testing

MAJORS

Mechanical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering

Materials Science & Engineering

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Familiar with MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel,

Proficiency in Solidworks preferred

Machining/Prototyping experience preferred

Capable of conducting calculations and understanding engineering concepts

Laboratory experience preferred

COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.

Ability to respond to common inquiries.

Ability to communicate effectively
