Bioprocess Technician I

The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Bioprocess Technician to join EVERY’s Pilot Operations Team and support our efforts to produce consistent high-quality products and data for our scaleup efforts. You will spend  80 - 90% of your time on the Manufacturing floor and the 10-20% of the time will be spent managing sample submission, writing, and updating standard operating procedures and job hazard assessments, and maintaining the preventive maintenance schedule and records. You will work closely with process engineers to keep documentation up-to-date, and assure preventive maintenance is executed and recorded accordingly. The scope of your work will expand from routine to more complex tasks as you develop new skills.

Requirements 

• You have 3+ years of industry experience, preferably working in microbial fermentation and experience troubleshooting processes.
• Ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and succinctly to various audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in operating and maintaining intricate laboratory equipment, with the capacity to troubleshoot issues swiftly
• A commitment to continuous personal and professional development, illustrated by seeking feedback, engaging in reflective practice, and pursuing learning opportunities.

What you’ll accomplish:

• Operational Involvement: Operate manufacturing equipment under close supervision, contributing to key production processes.
• Adherence to SOPs: Carry out tasks in line with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), focusing on safety and precision.
• Data Collection: Assist in gathering and organizing data from lab instruments, learning foundational data analysis and reporting skills.
• Process Monitoring: Help monitor equipment and processes, learning to identify deviations and communicate them effectively.
• Preparation and Assembly: Gain practical experience in media preparation and bioreactor assembly, crucial for bioprocessing operations.
• Maintenance and Organization: Play a part in keeping the lab and plant environments clean and orderly, understanding the role of cleanliness in successful lab operations.
• Run analytical instruments for quantification such as moisture analysis, protein analysis., etc. 

Schedule  

• Monday - Friday - 08:00 - 5:00
• Weekends (Bi-weekly) - 9:00 - 12:00

Pay Range: $72,000 - $80,000
