Job Description:

Description: The Biostatistician is responsible for supporting statistical analysis of population-based research involving multidisciplinary teams. This position applies skills in data management and analysis for research pertaining to outcomes of chronic and infectious diseases.

Typical Duties:

1. Assists with the identification of analytic approaches for population health and clinical research in collaboration with research team.
2. Prepares and updates documentation (e.g. guides, codebooks, and data dictionaries) for multiple databases.
3. Implements quality control procedures to ensure data integrity.
4. Prepares data for analysis (i.e. validation, recoding, etc.).
5. Implements statistical analysis plan and generates results.
6. Assists with preparing detailed descriptions of analyses and findings for funding proposals, manuscripts, and abstracts through consultation with team members.
7. Manages multiple tasks and be comfortable working in an environment with shifting priorities.
8. Works effectively within a collaborative and interdisciplinary work setting.
9. Assists in other areas of clinical research, trial design and planning, trial management, data management, and report writing as needed.
10. Actively seeks new knowledge of methods for data management and analysis.
11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
• Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, or other quantitative discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 2 plus years of experience with at least one statistical software package (e.g. Stata, R, or SAS).
Preferred Education and Experience:
• 1 plus years of experience in health research.
