Block Mason - Journeyman CMU

We’re hiring a skilledJourneyman CMU Block Masonfor a2–3 week contracton a park/playground project inSan Jose, California. This role involves precision CMU block installation and coordination with other trades on-site. Position Overview You’ll be installing CMU block walls with small openings, doors, and a window. The work includes building up to 9 feet high with multiple grout lifts, maintaining tight tolerances, and supervising support laborers. Key Responsibilities • Install CMU block walls with small openings for animals, two doors, and one window • Build walls up to 9 feet high with 3–4 lifts for grout pours • Maintain tight tolerances on plumbness and alignment • Coordinate with adjacent trades • Supervise laborers and carpenters assisting with heavy lifting • Ensure quality masonry work and site cleanliness Tools & Requirements • Must have full set of mason tools: lasers, string, mortar tools, cutting tools • Hopper provided; rentals available if needed • Outdoor work environment • Physical tasks: bending, standing, kneeling, twisting INDO Job Type: Full-time Pay: $39.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
