As a Board Operator, you are responsible for the safe start-up, monitoring, control, and shutdown or equipment for the efficient, economical, and environmentally compliant production and distribution of carbon black, hydrogen, steam, and condensate.

  • Prior experience operating equipment (pallet jack, forklift, manual carts, scanners, computers, etc.)
  • You have an associates degree or equivalent certifications, and 3 years of relative experience
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities

What you'll do in the role:

  • Monitor the operation and material condition of all plant equipment both from the field and from the control room via a distribution control system.
  • Communicate feedback to crew on the plant status including troubleshooting efforts.
  • Aid in troubleshooting the field and from the control room via a distribution control system.
  • Ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant and economic plant operations.
  • Safely operate boilers, blowers, pumps, and pollution control systems associated with carbon black manufacturing.
  • Investigate equipment problems and take proper actions to correct such issues.
  • Maintain plant equipment logs and plant reports and perform corrective and preventive maintenance when necessary.
  • Records board observation in required logs.
  • Participate in special projects as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and perform housekeeping when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

This position is located in Hallam, NE. Nebraska residency is required.
