Post-Closing Booking and Funding Specialist

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Post-Closing Team Lead

Summary/Objective

The Post-Closing Booking and Funding Specialist's primary responsibility is to ensure that new loans are loaded to the bank's core system timely and accurately.

Primary Functions

1. Loading and funding of consumer, commercial and mortgage loans and any necessary tracking items.
2. Pay outstanding invoices for loan related third party charges.
3. Verify all new loan documents that are received electronically are correctly placed in the bank's imaging system.
4. Review closed loan packages to confirm receipt of all necessary documentation and proper signing and dating of all documents, and review applicable government regulations and bank policies/procedures. (Includes but is not limited to: Regulation B, Regulation Z, TILA RESPA Integrated Disclosure).
5. Reporting of errors and/or deficiencies found during loan review. Communicate with lenders to obtain any missing documentation and to request any necessary corrections.

Secondary Functions

1. Cross-train in order to back up other positions as needed.

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is a largely sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer and phone; however, occasional bending, stooping, and stretching may be required as well as the ability to lift up to 10 pounds. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel

Travel is not expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

1. High School graduate or GED.
2. Good oral and written communication skills.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Post High School Education or related experience.
2. Experience in loan servicing, operations, lending or loan documentation.
3. Knowledge of some government lending regulations.
