Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage our day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation by processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Track cash flow and ensure timely payment of bills and collection of receivables.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Generate financial statements and management reports as required.
  • Prepare end-of-month and end-of-year close processes.
  • Monitor and report discrepancies or irregularities in financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar), Microsoft Excel, and general ledger functions.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and work through issues methodically.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

This role is a Monday to Thursday role with 3-4 days in our new offices in Green Square
