JOB OVERVIEW

Our business specializes in working with trades services businesses like Plumbers, Electricians, HVAC, Fire, and Security and along with bookkeeping services we offer some job management administration services.

This role will have a strong focus on payroll processing using Employment Hero and Xero and bringing information over from our main job management software which is called simPRO. Candidates having experience with this would be highly desirable, but we will also provide training on this.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processing payroll in Xero and Employment Hero
• Other payroll-related duties
• Bank reconciliation
• Entering bills
• Preparation of BAS and IAS

QUALIFICATIONS

Product Knowledge

• Has done bookkeeping as a career, preferably with an Australian Bookkeeping firm, with multiple clients
• Understanding of Australian GST law, including preparation of business activity statements and income activity statements
• Process development skills
• Excellent customer service skills

System and Application Knoweldge

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel
• Must have end-to-end experience in Xero
• Preferably has experience using SimPRO
• Has the ability and willingness to learn new systems and tools

Quality

• Works within the Hammerjack quality guidelines
• Ensures quality of work being delivered without being supervised

Communication Skills

• High level of written and verbal skills
• Works well and communicates well with a team
