This position is responsible for ensuring drivers/trucks that cross the border are educated on the process and comfortable with a valid crossing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed position.
- Proactively going through system, identifying the drivers/trucks that will be crossing the border that day.
- Send messages to those trucks, and request call ins to review boarder crossing procedures.
- Speaking with drivers on the telephone, explaining proper procedures for north and south bound Canadian crossings. Ensuring that driver is educated on the process, and comfortable with making a valid crossing.
- Following up with customs brokers, ensuring that the proper paperwork has been received and is being processed. Trouble shooting issues that arise in tandem with the customs brokers to facilitate the border crossing.
- Working with drivers to ensure that they are fully aware of the critical need for maintained and inspected equipment. Trucks and trailers must follow the internal program of being inspected, and each driver needs to know about the requirement for an in-depth Pre-trip Inspection on all equipment.
- Overflow call management. Assisting Fleet Managers and Customer Service Managers on load related problems that arise.
- Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel

- AS400 and MS Office experience.
- Communications and Interpersonal Skills.
- Multi-tasking, good attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize.
- Ability to preform in a fast paced environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 3 years customer service experience.
