Brand Analyst, Better-for-you CMG
Job Description
Summary:
The Brand Analyst for Better-for-You (BFY) CMG will have responsibility for specific duties, projects and activities in support of the Lily's, Brookside, barkTHINS, Zero Sugar & BFY Emerging/Licensed brands to include Retail Analysis, DME management & various project management responsibilities. The brand analyst will be a key point of contact for our innovation and cross functional sales partners. The Brand Analyst must be a strong leader and great collaborator in cross-functional assignments as he/she plays a leadership role throughout the corporation, coordinating with other functional areas to ensure necessary actions occur in support of his/her marketing position.
This position plays a leadership role on weekly & monthly retail analysis and forecast, plan alignment and requires strong analytical skills as well as an ability to translate analysis on the business into recommended programs affecting marketing variables such as advertising, promotion, product & design changes, pricing, retail programs, and other key programs that could affect the short- and long-term profitability and growth. Individuals must have a keen view of the external environment including general trends impacting the business, competitive assessments, and an understanding of both consumers and customers. Additionally, this role requires an individual with a business owner mentality comfortable with high levels of autonomy and a passion to drive their assigned business.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of the business results on a weekly and monthly basis including providing strategic recommendations on paths forward based on analysis of business results
- Management of the current Lily's and BFY budgets including future planning
- Strategic, annual, and marketing planning and periodic re-planning on the business to include involvement with annual business review, brand plans, and longer-term vision and strategy
- Leadership of activities and projects inside and outside the company that will result in strong understanding and successful implementation of marketing plans.
- External and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers, market trends, and implications to the particular area of responsibility.
- Dedicated to personal training and development.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required (preferably Business, Analytics, Management)
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI); ability to learn new systems
- Mekko Graphics, Tableau, Alteryx experience a plus
- IRI / Nielsen / Numerator experience a plus
Experience/ Skills:
- At least 18 months of related work experience. Marketing experience preferred.
- Outstanding analytical abilities.
- Overall business knowledge and holistic general management approach.
- Curious with a passion for Problem Solving and making a difference for their business
- Demonstrated Project Management experience with leading cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communicator to a wide breadth of audiences
- Economic value creation mindset.
- Lifelong learner with potential to be a strong people developer.
