Brand and Communications Designer

The Brand and Communications Designer will immerse themselves in Rexford's business process and identify important opportunities to support brand development and the communications and marketing strategy. This is an extraordinary opportunity for someone to help us elevate our brand story. You have an ability to translate business objectives into design and experience creating branded and marketing content in thoughtful ways across multiple platforms. You will report to the Head of Marketing.

Location: Los Angeles, CA; Costa Mesa, CA; or Riverside, CA

Work Arrangement: You will follow a hybrid work model, offering a balanced blend of remote and in-office work.

About the Role

• Contribute to the development of our visual identity and style guidelines while advocating for the brand's visual identity, both internally and externally.
• Embrace a collaborative mindset, engaging with the marketing team to ensure design work integrates into marketing campaigns and deliverables.
• Manage the design process and brand optimization from creative brainstorming to delivery, with a focus on brand development and consistency.
• Articulate our unique brand story with dynamic visual concepts that inspire, inform and captivate.
• Conceptualize creative concepts and internal sub-brands based on target audiences through visual assets and video content.
• Develop landing pages, banners, rich emails, social media posts, animated GIFs, videos, presentations, invitations and other digital media.
• Increase all major social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, with rich visual content.
• Develop the video and content strategy for internal and external communications and social media.
• Identify trending stories within the industrial real estate sector and convert them into engaging content.
• Utilize different creative platforms and programs to generate content, including InDesign, After Effects and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
• Analyze content trends and audience insights that translate into branded content opportunities.
• Work with internal communications and important partners to launch visual campaigns for HR initiatives, IT updates, internal newsletters and external marketing assets.

About You

• 3+ years at a creative agency.
• 7+ years in social media and marketing content strategy and development.
• 3+ years in a leadership position focused on brand development and graphic design.
• Expert in design software and technologies, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Canva.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
• Proficiency in PC applications of Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PowerPoint.
• Captivating graphic design portfolio.
• Collaborative approach that embraces teamwork and multiple feedback cycles.

Compensation

Rexford Industrial's total reward plan includes a premier benefits package, bonus eligibility and long-term stock incentives. The expected annual base salary range for this role is $81,000 to $122,000, with a 15% discretionary annual bonus target and stock grant eligibility.*The actual base salary and total compensation offered depend on a variety of factors, which include, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location where the job will be performed. The final base salary and total compensation will be described in any offer letter.
